2016 Subaru Forester

Great car, but not for everybody

PROS

Ride and Handling
Plenty of power will provide smooth merging onto highways and passing slow vehicles is not an issue. This is turbo charges model with 260HP on tap, works very well with CVT transmission.
Technology and Entertainment
I was quite satisfied with infotainment, it connected to my phone with no issues and the navigation is working.
Interior Space
Quite enough space for taller people at the back seat and trunk big enough for my needs. It can accommodate 4 people for a weekend getaway, along with their luggage.
Value
This is very well designed vehicle for it's intended purpose. The car was in good condition while I was driving it, but I didn't take it off road to test its capabilities.
Styling
Boxy style like other SUVs suites me, because of the elevated seating position. Easy egress and ingress.
Reliability
I had a car for only about a month and I didn't have any issues, but other people swear on its long term reliability.

CONS

Ride and Handling
Some people say there is no such thing as too much power, but I say - there is! I am at the age where I don't rely on the power of the car to get out of a trouble , but on planning to get somewhere on time.
Seat Comfort
Cabin noise is noticeable, but not irritating. What bothers me is, why would a designer put sporty seats with hard cushions in a vehicle like this? My model didn't have lumbar adjustment, but after 20-30min of driving I didn't feel comfortable to take on any longer journeys. Suspension is too hard, like on a sports car and feels horrible on bad city streets. Small sports steering wheel is very unusual on SUVs, but these are 3 deal breakers for me!
Technology and Entertainment
Some people would say that car's tech is outdated. All technology looks like some post-2000 year designs...
Fuel Economy
This car is not very efficient, but considering the power of turbo-4 engine, it's not bad. Hybrid vehicles could be more efficient, but then you have to deal with batteries, etc. My 99% of city driving returned 12.6L/100km of premium 91 octane gas.

2021 Subaru Forester

Best value for money

PROS

Seat Comfort
It’s a comfortable car with less cabin noise and great seats. additionally it as high leg space in the front and back.
Technology and Entertainment
It has all the necessary tech. To name a few eye sight cruise control, big infotainment system with apple and android autoplay.
Interior Space
This car has hugh window glass which make car bright and surrounding vision clear. It have a great trunk space as well.
Value
This car is value for money.
Fuel Economy
It’s is fuel efficient
Styling
This a pretty decent looking car to have.
Reliability
These things are build to last long.

2024 Subaru Forester

Our family LOVES our Subaru Forester.

PROS

Ride and Handling
Lots of pep. Brakes quickly and it handles wonderfully around turns
Seat Comfort
Surprisingly quiet at highway speeds. Heated seats in the front and back keep everyone happy. The air conditioner works very quickly too
Technology and Entertainment
Love the assisted steering, blindspot detector lights. The rear backup cam is crystal clear.
Interior Space
Lots of space and I like how easy the seats fold down. The roof rack is great too.
Styling
Understated at first glance but sleek and modern

2022 Subaru Forester

Great vehicle all around but Basics should have a mapping system built into the car,

PROS

Ride and Handling
Nice, smooth ride
Interior Space
Interior space is great backseat is a decent size. Trunk is good size as well. Doesn’t look like a huge car, but there’s lots of space.
Value
I know super Forsters maintain their value over high kilometres especially this year

CONS

Technology and Entertainment
I have a pretty basic model in the tech. This is not great at all. Most of the apps are unuseable if you don’t pay for a subscription. There’s no map system in this car you have to run it off of your phone which that should be a basic in a 2022 model

2020 Subaru Forester

Decent car for a decent price point

PROS

Seat Comfort
Decent room for a family of 3 (about to be four)
Technology and Entertainment
Thought I would hate the Subaru Eye but eventually grew to really enjoy the features. Annoying on rainy days though.
Interior Space
Good trunk space and tool storage in spare wheel compartment.

CONS

Seat Comfort
Could be more comfy.
Technology and Entertainment
On high precipitation days the Eye can't see well when the windshield is busy and is constantly beeping.

2019 Subaru Forester

Loving this car so far!

PROS

Seat Comfort
Seats are comfortable for long drives and I like how well I can see blind spots.
Interior Space
Lots of trunk space, enough to fit a stroller comfortably.

CONS

Ride and Handling
Could have a little more acceleration power.
Reliability
We have had some minor issues with the car, but no crazy expensive fixes were required.
