You can finalize the paperwork and confirm delivery entirely online, but our Customer Advisors are here to help at every step of the way. Following delivery, our 10-Day Love It or Return It period begins, which means that if you change your mind within 10 days or 750 km (whichever comes first), you can return the car for a refund, subject to our return conditions.

Every one of our cars goes through a detailed 210-point inspection and reconditioning process to ensure they are safe to drive and squeaky clean.

Vehicles sold in Ontario include a valid Safety Standard Certificate (SSC), regulated by Ontario government.

Vehicles sold in Atlantic Canada include a valid Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI), regulated by the Nova Scotia government. Through a reciprocal agreement, the provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island honour the Nova Scotia inspection sticker, so no additional certification is required to register your vehicle in these provinces.

We stand behind our quality with our 3-month Protection Plan (90 days or 6,000 km, whichever comes first), included with every package except Basic.

Clutch is proud to break industry norms by offering transparent pricing for all of our customers. We have no hidden fees - all of our prices are no-haggle and any fees are disclosed upfront. The price you see when you place your deposit is the price you can expect to pay for the vehicle. No surprises.

Below are the services we offer which have fees attached:

• Delivery Fee: We offer the convenience of delivering your vehicle directly to your door, with a fee based on the distance we need to travel. This covers fuel costs and our Field Specialists, who will be happy to show you around your vehicle and answer any questions you may have. Delivery is free with our Clutch Care™ and Clutch Care Complete™ packages, is not available with our Basic package, and is only offered within our delivery areas. If you’d rather avoid this fee, you’re welcome to visit one of our retail facilities and pick up your vehicle at no cost.
  
  
• Shipping Fee: Shipping fees cover the cost of transferring a vehicle between large urban centers. For example, a shipping fee applies when moving a vehicle from Toronto, Ontario, to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Shipping fees are separate from delivery fees, which cover last-mile delivery to your door. These fees are generally non-refundable, as they cover the cost incurred to physically move the vehicle. To avoid this fee, consider browsing vehicles already in your local market or traveling to pick up your vehicle.
  
  
• Admin Fee (Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick only): This fee covers the cost of our 210-point inspection, reconditioning, and Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker. Your 30-day Temporary Permit is included at no extra cost.

We work with many of Canada's largest financial institutions to help customers get a loan at a great best rate. A variety of factors determine whether or not you get approved for a loan, including credit history, employment, residency status, down payment, application information, co-applicants, and vehicle selection. Since your loan is provided by a financial institution, we cannot guarantee that you'll get approved, but we always do our best to secure the best outcome for our customers.

Applying is easy and completely online. Select ‘Financing’ as your preferred payment method during checkout and you'll be guided through all of the steps to complete your application. Once you complete your financing application, we’ll send it to potential lenders for approval. If potential lenders require more information, we’ll reach out and ask you to provide it.

We make payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or instant Interac direct deposit to ensure a secure and efficient process. Once your vehicle is dropped off or picked up, we initiate payment the same day and provide confirmation that the funds have left our account.

Instant payment windows:

• Ontario & Atlantic: Mon–Fri 8AM–8PM EST (Bill of Sale signed by 7PM), Sat–Sun 9AM–5PM EST (signed by 4PM).
• British Columbia: Mon–Fri 9AM–5PM PST, Sat–Sun 9AM–2PM PST.

Payment windows are the same whether you sell at a retail hub, pop-up, or pick-up. If you sell on a Sunday or statutory holiday and we cannot run a lien check, payment will be delayed until the next business day. If your bank does not support instant Interac deposits, funds will arrive via EFT in 1–3 business days (usually next day). On statutory holidays, payments are processed the next business day.

You will also receive:

• A binding Bill of Sale signed by both you and Clutch.
• Confirmation of any lien amount to be paid off (if applicable).
• A breakdown of the remaining balance to be deposited into your account.

If applicable, it can take your lender 10–30 business days to process our payment and close your loan.

If you have a loan on the car that you’re selling, Clutch will pay off the loan and deduct it from the value of our offer. It can take your lender 10–30 business days to process our payment, depending on the financial institution’s processing times. Any payments made in this period will be reimbursed by the financial institution, not Clutch. There is a one-time lien discharge fee of $199 that is applied to your bill of sale if you would like Clutch to take care of the loan for you.
