Every vehicle purchase from Clutch comes with a limited guarantee of up to 90 days or 6,000 km, whichever comes first.

What parts are covered?

Our complimentary 90-day guarantee provides extensive coverage to ensure you are completely protected. Coverage includes:

  • Engine
  • Brakes
  • Transmission
  • Fuel system
  • Drive axle
  • Sensors and wiring
  • Roadside assistance
  • Suspension
  • Heating & air conditioning
  • Electrical components
  • Rental expenses
  • Trip interruption hotel expenses
  • Steering
  • Repairs at any licensed mechanic

What parts are not covered?

There are some exceptions to our limited 90-day guarantee.

    Replaceable/Wearable Components

    Any part that is designed to wear down or be replaced with general maintenance of the vehicle.

    Any normal or scheduled maintenance - the parts and services that all vehicles routinely need.

    Interior or cosmetic imperfections

    Any physical defects on your vehicle that do not affect the drivability or safety of the vehicle.

    Aftermarket Accessories

    Any replacement parts that are not made by the original equipment manufacturer.

90-Day Guarantee FAQ

Is there a cost?

Assuming you have done what you are required to do in the section above, and it is a repair covered under the Guarantee, we will:
  • Repair or replace the Covered Part(s) which caused the Breakdown. Replacement parts may be of like kind and quality. This may include the use of new, remanufactured or used parts
  • We may reimburse you for costs related to a rental vehicle, subject to pre-approval by Clutch and a receipt from the rental car provider.
  • Reimburse you for applicable towing expenses. Limit $75 per occurrence.

As long as you are seeking repair by a licensed mechanic, then we will work with them to help get your repair completed. Please note that we will only accept repairs within Canada and the Continental US.

Only two things!
  • Properly maintain your vehicle as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer
  • Obtain an authorization number from a Clutch Representative before completing any work

Please do everything in your power to protect your vehicle from further damage. In some situations this may require you to turn off your engine and have your vehicle towed.

Instruct your repair facility to give us a call at the number listed above and to provide all relevant details. This includes receipts for towing and signed repair orders (indicating dates and mileage), which will allow us to quickly process your claim.

In the event that you need an emergency repair (outside of our Claims Centre’s hours), we require you to (1) retain any replaced parts for review and (2) contact us on the next business day. We won’t deny a claim solely because prior authorization wasn’t given.
