One of the best cars I’ve ever had!

PROS

Subaru AWD is the best for the winters where I live.
Seat Comfort
It’s comfortable to drive and comfortable to car camp in.
Technology and Entertainment
The head unit in this vehicle has known issues. I’ve already had it replaced once.
Interior Space
The space is great!
Value
I can use it for transporting drum gear or camping in!
Fuel Economy
It’s average.
Styling
Wagons are the best!
Reliability
No major issues.

CONS

Ride and Handling
No issues
Seat Comfort
I don’t like how you can’t keep the hatch open without running the battery dead.
Technology and Entertainment
Head unit is prone to having issues, even after replacement
Interior Space
No issues
Value
No issues
Fuel Economy
It’s average, not the greatest, not terrible.

2020 Subaru Outback

Love my Subaru Outback!

PROS

Ride and Handling
Handles great even in the bad weather.
Seat Comfort
Most comfortable car I have ever owned. I love the seats, plenty of leg room (I have long legs), and the heating feature is a bonus.
Interior Space
Great for the dogs, and the back seats fold down easily if I have to move anything large.
Styling
Looks nice and I feel proud driving around in it.
Reliability
Never an issue at the auto shop, everything just works.

CONS

Technology and Entertainment
Connection to the infotainment system is hit or miss. I have found if it's really cold it take a while to get connected and stay connected with my phone. When it works it's great.

2017 Subaru Outback

2017 Outback, pragmatic puppy!

PROS

Ride and Handling
Great in snow!
Technology and Entertainment
Tech was in a transition phase as it is a 2017, but added a Hamilton module to bring it up to current standards
Interior Space
More backseat leg room than an XC90.
Value
Dollar for dollar, hard to beat.
Reliability
Seems to be holding to the Subaru reputation

CONS

Ride and Handling
Not going to win on the track, if that’s your thing.

Looks beefy without being as tall as a full sized SUV
Reliability

could be better (a PHEV in this format would be a dream)

2016 Subaru Outback

Subaru failed after purchase

CONS

Technology and Entertainment
The entire tech board may as well be a piece of cardboard with buttons drawn on with crayon. It doesnt work at all. we ended up having to buy a 3rd party clip for our cell phone.
Fuel Economy
burns gas like no tomorrow
Reliability
Engine issues at 140k. CVT, Cylinders, etc. Spark plugs are nearly impossible to get access to and more.
