2020 Subaru Outback

Love my Subaru Outback!

PROS

Ride and Handling
Handles great even in the bad weather.
Seat Comfort
Most comfortable car I have ever owned. I love the seats, plenty of leg room (I have long legs), and the heating feature is a bonus.
Interior Space
Great for the dogs, and the back seats fold down easily if I have to move anything large.
Styling
Looks nice and I feel proud driving around in it.
Reliability
Never an issue at the auto shop, everything just works.

CONS

Technology and Entertainment
Connection to the infotainment system is hit or miss. I have found if it's really cold it take a while to get connected and stay connected with my phone. When it works it's great.

Seems to be holding to the Subaru reputation

Toronto Used Subaru Outback Guide

Overview

The Subaru Outback has earned its reputation as a reliable and versatile crossover, making it an excellent choice for Toronto drivers who value practicality, capability, and comfort. Whether navigating the urban streets of downtown Toronto, commuting along the Don Valley Parkway, or escaping to Algonquin Park for a weekend getaway, the Outback delivers a seamless blend of SUV utility and sedan-like handling.

With standard all-wheel drive (AWD), the Subaru Outback is well-suited for Toronto’s snowy winters and slippery roads, ensuring safe and confident driving year-round. Its spacious interior, advanced safety features, and excellent ground clearance make it ideal for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who needs a dependable vehicle that adapts to their lifestyle. Compared to competitors like the Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4, the Outback stands out for its rugged design and superior off-road capabilities.

Key benefits

Here’s why the Subaru Outback is a top pick for Toronto drivers:

Standard AWD: Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive provides unmatched traction and control, perfect for snowy Toronto winters or weekend adventures.

Spacious and Versatile Interior: With ample cargo space and comfortable seating, the Outback is great for family road trips or daily commutes.

Fuel Efficiency: The Outback offers impressive fuel economy for its class, making it a practical choice for city driving and highway trips.

Rugged Capability: With higher ground clearance and off-road-ready features, the Outback is ideal for outdoor activities and rough terrain.

Advanced Safety Features: Equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, it provides peace of mind with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and more.

Potential trade-offs

Keep these factors in mind when shopping for a used Subaru Outback in Toronto:

Urban Parking: The Outback’s larger size can make parking in Toronto’s tighter spots a bit challenging, especially downtown.

Winter Tires: While AWD enhances stability, investing in quality winter tires is essential for optimal performance in snowy conditions.

Cargo Space: While generous, the cargo area may feel smaller compared to larger SUVs if you require maximum hauling capacity.

Engine Power: The base engine offers good efficiency, but for drivers seeking stronger performance, higher trims with turbocharged engines may be preferable.

Demand and Availability: The Outback is popular in Toronto’s used market, so desirable trims and newer models may sell quickly.
